THE ART OF JAMES COLEMAN
Born in 1949 in Hollywood, California, James Coleman's creative journey began at Walt Disney Studios in 1969. Starting in the mailroom, his talent was quickly recognized, leading him to a successful career in animation background painting. He contributed to beloved Disney classics like "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too", "The Little Mermaid", and "Beauty and the Beast", eventually becoming the Background Department Supervisor.
After 22 years with Disney, Coleman left in 1991 to focus on fine art. Known for his vibrant colors, luminous designs, and impressionistic style, he has become one of the most sought-after contemporary artists. His work is featured in prestigious galleries and collections worldwide, including the Disney family's. A naturalist and environmentalist, Coleman continues to inspire through his masterful use of color, light, and design.
