Artist Daniel Killen, known for his hyper-realistic style and dry wit has paid homage to the 1946 Friz Freleng short cartoon, “Baseball Bugs” with this giclée on canvas, “Pachydermus Percussion Pitch.”  Animated by Ken Champin, Gerry Chiniquy, Manuel Perez, and Virgil Ross with backgrounds and layouts by Paul Julian and Hawley Pratt. 

Killen created this image as a Prismacolor drawing on toned paper. The image was colorized digitally by the artist to his exacting standards and printed using extended life-span inks made specifically for this fine art process.
