    "Tyrolean Fantasy" by Disney Legend Tony Baxter showcases Baxter's homage to the classic Disney aesthetic, influenced by his mentor and fellow Disney Legend Claude Coats. Created around 1975, this piece represents Baxter's admiration for Coats' work, particularly Coats' iconic background artistry for Disney's 1940 animated feature "Pinocchio".
     

    Beyond its artistic tribute, Tyrolean Fantasy played a practical role in Baxter's later work. It directly inspired the design aesthetic of Disneyland's New Fantasyland renovation in 1983 and the picturesque placement of the castle at Disneyland Paris in the early 1990s. This piece marks one of the first times Baxter's personal collection has been made available as fine art, offering fans a glimpse into the personal inspirations behind some of Disney's beloved park experiences.
