STAR WARS - THE ART OF BRYAN SNUFFER
Born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, Bryan still resides there with his wife, Dawn, and their four children. Growing up along the shores of Lake Michigan has been an incredible experience, and living and working on the banks of one of the largest inland lakes in the world has been truly inspiring.
Bryan’s passion for art began early, sparked by a simple comment from his father, who, while watching him draw one day, remarked that Bryan was destined to become a commercial artist. From that moment on, thoughts of becoming an astronaut gave way to the dream of becoming an artist.
It wasn’t until his thirties, after building a family and a home, that Bryan decided it was time to turn that dream into reality. With the support of his family, he set out to establish a professional art career that has since become his full-time vocation.
For many years, Bryan has collaborated with the U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy, illustrating the history and achievements of their aviation programs. His work is proudly displayed in personal collections around the world, as well as in prestigious military and museum collections, including the National Museum of Naval Aviation, the Pentagon, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), and various Coast Guard Air Stations such as Detroit, Traverse City, Sitka, Kodiak, and many others.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to Naval Aviation Art, Bryan received the prestigious 2016 R.G. Smith Award, an honor presented annually to an artist who has achieved excellence in this specialized field.
