Charles Martin "Chuck" Jones (September 21, 1912 – February 22, 2002) was an iconic American animator, director, cartoonist, screenwriter, and producer. Until his passing in 2002, he created several beloved Looney Tunes characters, including Pepe Le Pew, Penelope Pussycat, Marvin the Martian, Wile E. Coyote, and the Road Runner, among many others. He also redefined Daffy Duck, transforming him from a zany character into a selfish anti-hero.
