Lisa began her artistic journey at the age of eight, taking formal oil painting classes alongside adults. By 14, she had already mastered photorealistic Western scenes and horses. As an adult, her focus shifted to graphic design. In 1991, she became a digital pioneer, working at the Apple Multimedia Lab in San Francisco before joining George Lucas at Skywalker Ranch.
In 1998, Lisa returned to fine art—this time with a passion for watercolors. Determined to achieve the same precision she had with oils, she immersed herself in the medium, mastering its complex mineral interactions to create vivid textures and bold colors. Her first series of large-scale, hyper-realistic tropical florals gained international acclaim and earned her Signature Membership in the National Watercolor Society. Her second series captured the energy and motion of Western performance horses, complete with swirling dust and dynamic expression.
Recently, Lisa has returned to her digital roots with a bold new venture: the “Digital Pop” series. Simplified black lines and vibrant color palettes define these playful, modern works. Drawing on her background in digital design, she explains, “Mobile apps, icons, and clean layouts shape today’s visual literacy. I use those cues to tell small, often humorous stories through art.”
Lisa now lives with her husband on a small ranch in the Southern California mountains. When she’s not creating, she enjoys riding her horse, playing tennis, and finding daily inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds her.
