Born and raised in New Jersey in a large Italian family, Michelle St. Laurent began painting at age six, inspired by the works of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Her love for Disney art was evident early on, so much so that her first-grade contest entry was disqualified for looking "too professional."
At 16, after moving to Florida, Michelle set her sights on becoming a Disney Artist. She studied Advertising and Design at the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale and later worked as a scenic artist, graphic designer, and children's book illustrator. Her journey led her to the Disney Design Group, where she spent a decade creating theme park merchandise and trained under Disney legend Ralph Kent. She later became an Art Director for Disney's Parks Events team.
Since 1998, Michelle has been painting for the Disney Galleries, bringing classic Disney magic to life through her work. Her art reflects a deep love for family, storytelling, and the joy of rediscovering childhood wonder.
